A boxcutter for crafts and DIY projects is a creative way to express yourself. The DIY boxcutter craft is just like any carving art, except that you’re cutting into a piece of paper or cardboard instead of carving wood. The simplest way to do a DIY boxcutter carving art is by drawing a pattern or a shape you like on a thicker piece of paper (cardboard or manila card).
When you’re done, use a boxcutter to trace the shape's edges, hence, cutting it. When you’re done, you can simply apply glue and stick the cut-out shapes on another piece of paper or another piece of cardboard. This DIY artwork is a great way to create your own greeting card or book cover. If you’re interested in learning more, we also offer this art lesson in our art class at Artz Graine!

You can make your own plates and cups the next time you try ceramic making.
When visiting some of the world's most renowned art galleries and auction houses, we can see that wood carving artworks are as popular and cherished as ever.
Due to its accessibility and comparatively simple carving skill requirements, wood has long been designers' and artists' carving medium of choice. Wood carving may seem a bit more advanced and challenging for budding teen artists. However, you can always start from the basics and improve your carving skills
Making architectural models is a technique frequently used to depict a building design or master plan. An architectural model is usually presented in the form of a three-dimensional representation of the design, typically at a scale much smaller than full size. However, even if you’re not an architect or an engineer, architecture modelling can still be a fun way to express artistic creativity.
These embellished zippered pouches are another functional craft that makes great gifts for keeping your spare change! This no-sew project is perfect if you don’t particularly like sewing. A relief printing technique known as lino printmaking is created by carving a drawing into a soft linoleum block, rolling a small coating of ink over it, and pressing paper on top to imprint the image.
Hard lines, flat regions of colour, and the stark contrast between the paper and ink make lino prints appear strong and robust. While carving can take a lot of time or can be simplified, printing can be done quickly enough to produce several copies. With lino printmaking, drawings that appear under-emphasised or flimsy in pencil take on a more confident, strong character.
One of the most varied art mediums available is resin, which may be used independently and complement other fields like installation art, painting, and furniture design.
In general, resin art refers to anything produced for strictly aesthetic reasons by combining resin and hardener. This mixture is frequently placed into the mould of your choosing, let to cure, and then the casting is removed, providing you with a good representation of the mould's inside. Check out this tutorial for a step-by-step guide on resin art.
